CØLDSTAR are a Swiss duo blending melancholic synthpop, darkwave and retro-futurist post-punk into dark electronic songs with a cinematic edge and a danceable pulse.
Formed by Martin Baumann and Michael Freund, the project sounds like nostalgia from a future that never happened: analog machines, vocoders, fading signals — and a dark human voice moving through the static.
Their music is cold on the surface, but never empty. Beneath the synthetic glow lies something warmer: memory, longing, and the quiet ache of things left unsaid.
Their debut LP CØSMIC DUST was released via Swiss Dark Nights in 2024 and reached the Top 10 of the Poponaut charts. In 2026, Post-Punk Robot entered the Deutsche Alternative Charts (DAC) at #2.
